Spray paint is my best friend. Really. We’ve been close ever since I discovered how easy (and cheap) it is to take something I already own, was given, or thrifted, and make it better. Like this chippy little bird.
There’s just something about chippy little birds that I love. Kind of like sunshine. They are sweet and happy, but still rustic. They have that “been around for a long time” look.
So, I decided to make myself one. I bought a little bird from the dollar tree, and gave him a makeover. It was literally as easy as 1-2-3 to get the look I wanted.
I just sprayed him white, let him dry, and distressed some edges with sandpaper. Done.
One dollar. One minute. {unless you count drying time which I am totally not counting}
Doesn’t he look cute on the mantel?
Just an itty bitty project. Costing only pennies.
And worth every one. 😉
